The 72 Star Open Bottom Excel Plug Tray is one of the hardest working trays on the market! The unique star shaped cell creates several ridges which can drive your roots downward toward the 100% open cell bottom which prevents root spiraling and allows your roots to air prune.
Air pruning can increase your tap roots per plant and increase fibrous root growth. An air pruned plant is stronger and can be held in the cell much longer than traditional trays with only drainage holes.
